In order to break the tie and save us from eternal stagnation, a deal was brokered: "I'll throw the fight 'at the end of things', if you pretty much stay outta my way until then." Loki was fine with that, perhaps it's the only fast one Odin's pulled on him, as Ragnarok isn't ACTUALLY the end, in the myths. So what's the point of 'winning' against Odin anyway? Does your mom know? ha! Loki can fulfill a great many rude awkenings in the all too stuffy Heathen world. My Gods, I just read a link someone sent me on McNallen's rant about taking the Gods seriously. He seems to think the Gods don't appreciate a laugh when honoring them.
