I just want to say from my own personal experience, having a time frame is highly beneficial. I would say, for something like this, give some of the items a time frame of a year, perhaps with growing repetitions (for example, a year from now, I will strike up a conversation with a stranger 5 times every week, but this month I will do it once. next month I will do it twice etc buidling to 5 times a week.) If it is a time frame you can live with, and you choose it yourself, you often find yourself more motivated to take to it, and follow it through, unlike deadlines applied from external forces.

Henry, this is a well thought-out approach and I will try it myself. My experience (in the past I worked with Uncle Al's Liber Jugorum and stuff like that) is that there are more superficial things that are rather easy to decondiction (like prejudices, poltical opinions etc.) and then there are complexes on a deep level (it often boils down to issues like self-worth etc.) that are very hard to overcome. Self-Hypnosis (and related techniques) might help here and this is where I'm fishing at the moment.

The new site is just fucking great! Thank you for that fine work. You're a real sorcerer!

Henri, may I applaud your logic and your courage. At the age of 25 I reprogrammed myself to stop blaming my parents for the reason I was unhappy (but unfortunately not until after I reached a crisis nadir of bleakness), at high school - having been brought up in a 'adult world of separate to children's world' and not being able to converse adroitly with people outside my immediate family- I deliberately took on terrifying reprogramming projects such as debating and public speaking. Also - being scared of playing the keyboard to people, even dearest friends, compelled me to eat bile and put on a small concert for my buddies the year before last. The thing is, I eat myself from the inside out with my own self-generated fear and the self-scripted messages about why my life is the way it is, and yet I also conduct deliberate and logical projects to rewrite the syntax of living. Like learning a new language, it gets easier the more you do it, however, also like language, I need to do it every day. rewriting my programs is not something that, once my software program fix is installed I can just move on to the next issue. Its like a daily battle in a way, of more like, I need to swim in the strong river every day to move further down stream - but still - its like swimming in a strong dirty river- hard annoying work. Cripes its refreshing to read your blog about this stuff. Some of my buddies think I'm approaching the reprogramming projects in too machine-like/logical a way, without regard to the casualty of 'who I really am' and also who my friends think I am - and who they befriended. I recently had a partner of many years tell me that I was not the woman he fell in love with - this was primarily because of my reprogramming to make myself more resilient, bolder, wilder and more embracing of the dark stuff without letting it tip me over. His statement hit so very hard - but now I wear it with more pride because its testament that my reprogramming opens more doors in my life - though Henry - be prepared for the doors that also close when you change. I wish you well Henry, Armada of Possibility.
